The Irish Times reported on Friday 29th January, 2120, that the Murphy Brewery Archives Index is now online:
“The history of Murphy’s Brewery in Cork has become available for public perusal with a new online guide to the institution’s archives.
The records in the Murphy’s archive document the social and economic history of Cork from the mid 19th-mid 20th century.
Comprising 91 archival boxes and 147 bound volumes, the collection represents a genealogical treasure trove for families connected to the brewery.”
When I did an online search, I found the index in the form of a pdf document: Murphy Brewery Archive List
Apparently, this archive was handed to University College Cork in 1999: Murphy Archive at UCC
“The Murphy’s Brewery archive (IE BL/BC/MB) was donated by Heineken Ireland to UCC library in 1999″ and “contains 91 boxes and147 bound volumes”.
